DIN 547 Brass Two-Hole Round Nut

Round nut with two face holes (two-pin spanner) — turned in brass to standard and to your drawing.

Home / Products / Standard Parts / Brass Nuts / DIN 547

A DIN 547 nut is a round nut with two holes drilled into one face, turned for a two-pin (face) spanner; it gives a compact, flush fixing on shafts and spindles where a hexagon nut will not fit, and is commonly machined in brass. Brassland machines it from free-cutting brass CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) to the standard and to your drawing, as part of our brass nuts programme.

Applications

Typical applications include adjustable retention of bearings, bushes and collars on shafts and spindles, optical and instrument assemblies needing a flush circular nut, and valve and fitting trim. All parts are made to order, so size, thread, finish and certification are tailored to your specification.

Frequently asked questions

What tool tightens a DIN 547 round nut?

A two-pin (face) spanner engages the two holes drilled in the nut face; no spanner flats are needed.

What is the difference between DIN 547 and DIN 546?

DIN 547 has two holes in the face for a two-pin spanner; DIN 546 has a single screwdriver slot across the face. Both are compact round nuts.

Is DIN 547 available in brass?

Yes — DIN 547 is commonly machined in free-cutting brass CW614N; a lead-free grade (CW724R) is available on request.

What thread does a DIN 547 nut use?

Coarse metric thread, M2 to M10. See the datasheet for outside diameter, height and hole dimensions.
