Electrical components often require balancing two competing properties. Pure copper (C11000) gives maximum conductivity but is difficult to machine. Brass gives excellent machinability but lower conductivity. We help you choose correctly.

Component Types

Brassland is a precision brass and copper component manufacturer in Jamnagar, India, supplying turned and milled parts to electrical and instrumentation OEMs in 40+ countries. We machine cable-gland bodies, conduit fittings, busbar connectors and terminal parts — in metric, PG, NPT and BSP threads — from CW614N free-machining brass and C11000 high-conductivity copper, with nickel plating where required. Every part is made to your drawing on Swiss-type and CNC machines and inspected in-house; ingress (IP67/IP68) and Ex (ATEX/IECEx) approval of the finished gland is the assembler's responsibility, referencing IEC 62444 and IEC 60079. Electrical Equipment & RoHS 2

Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) placed on the EU market must comply with RoHS 2 (2011/65/EU). Lead in brass falls under Exemption 6(c) — valid for copper alloys ≤4% Pb as a constituent, until 30 June 2027.

C11000 (ETP copper) is fully RoHS 2 compliant with no exemption required — ideal when lead-free documentation is required by end customers.

Do your glands carry IP / EMC / Ex approvals?
We machine the brass components; ingress-protection rating, EMC performance and any hazardous-area (ATEX/IECEx) certification are validated and certified by the assembler of the finished product.
Which alloys do you use?
CW614N and CW617N brass for gland and connector bodies, and C11000 copper for current-carrying busbar and earthing parts; nickel plating available.
What documentation do you provide?
EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill certificates as standard (3.2 third-party witnessed on request), a Certificate of Conformity and dimensional inspection reports, plus RoHS and REACH declarations with commercial orders.
What is your minimum order quantity and lead time?
There is no strict MOQ — first orders typically start from around 1,000 pieces, and we support high-volume production for OEMs. Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks from approved drawing, with prototypes and samples sooner.
