Single-entry, double-entry, EMC-style, marine grade, and hazardous-area types — machined from solid brass to your drawing, referencing IEC 61914. Supplied to 40+ countries from Jamnagar, India.
Brassland is a precision brass-component manufacturer in Jamnagar, India, supplying turned and milled cable grippers and cable-gripper parts to electrical, solar, marine, mining and energy OEMs in 40+ countries. We machine single-entry, double-entry, EMC-style, marine-grade and hazardous-area cable-gripper bodies from CW617N brass with optional nickel plating, referencing the IEC 61914 cable-cleat/gripper standard. Every part is turned and milled to your drawing on Swiss-type and CNC machines (no casting) and inspected in-house; type approval of the finished assembly is the assembler's responsibility. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified. Choosing the grade? See our electrical alloy guide →
Overview
Cable grippers secure, anchor, and protect cables where they enter enclosures, panels, conduit, or structural supports. Brass is the material of choice across the industry for its combination of strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and electrical conductivity.
Product Range
All types manufactured to your drawing or to standard DIN/IEC profiles. Custom cable diameter ranges, thread forms, and flange configurations on request.
The most common type — threaded body with compression cone and locknut. Grips cable by radial compression as the nut is tightened. Used in panel entries, junction boxes, control cabinets, and conduit terminations.
Features an internal continuity ring or claw element designed to contact the cable braid/screen for 360° EMI bonding through the panel wall. Used in telecoms, defence, and industrial automation. EMC performance is validated at assembly level by the customer.
Manufactured from DZR brass (CW602N) or silicon brass (CW724R) for resistance to seawater dezincification. Used on vessels, offshore platforms, and coastal installations where salt spray exposure is continuous.
UV-resistant versions with brass body and EPDM or silicone sealing element. Secures DC string cables at solar panel junction boxes and combiner boxes. Rated for outdoor rooftop and ground-mount installations for 25+ year service life.
Precision machined brass gripper bodies for hazardous-area assemblies — oil & gas, chemical plant, grain silos. We machine flameproof-style geometry to the tight tolerances and gaps specified on your drawing (referencing IEC 60079). ATEX/IECEx certification and type testing are carried out by the customer/assembler.
Twin or multi-port gripper body machined from solid brass billet. Allows two or more cables to enter a single enclosure port. Used in junction boxes, street lighting, and multi-core cable management applications.
Manufacturing Process
Every component of a brass cable gripper is precision-machined on our CNC Swiss and turn-mill centres from certified CW617N or DZR brass rod.
Every cable gripper is machined fresh from certified brass rod to your exact specification. We do not hold pre-made stock — you get parts made precisely for your cable diameter, thread form, and sealing requirement.
Production runs from 500 pcs to 500,000+ pcs/year. Prototypes and samples typically delivered in 2–3 weeks from drawing approval.
Markets Served
Brass cable grippers are a critical bought-in component for OEMs across multiple fast-growing industries.
DC cable entry grippers for PV junction boxes, string combiner boxes, inverter enclosures, and solar tracker control boxes. Brass outperforms plastic in UV and thermal cycling environments.
Power cable and signal cable strain relief grippers for EV charging station enclosures. High-current DC cable grippers rated for IP54–IP67 in outdoor installations.
DZR brass grippers for cable penetrations through bulkheads, deck fittings, and equipment enclosures in seawater-spray environments. Essential for yacht building and commercial vessel electrics.
EMC-style grippers for cable entry into control panels, motor control centres, and drives cabinets — designed to bond the cable screen to cabinet earth through the brass body.
Brass cable gripper bodies for hazardous-area assemblies in Zone 1 and Zone 2 installations. We machine the tight clearances and flameproof-style geometry specified on your drawing (referencing IEC 60079-1); ATEX/IECEx certification and type testing are the customer's responsibility.
EMI shielded grippers for structured cabling, fibre patch panels, and server rack cable management where interference suppression and cable retention load are both critical.
