Gas & Energy Fittings

Gas pipe fittings & adaptors, POL & cylinder connectors, meter connectors, and solar thermal fittings — machined to your 2D or 3D drawing in DVGW-approvable brass (approval is by component test).

Alloy compatibility
Brass for Gas Applications

Brass is the dominant material for gas fittings globally — it is compatible with natural gas (methane), LPG (propane/butane), and most inert and noble gases at low-to-medium pressures.

Brass is not suitable for ammonia-containing gases (stress-corrosion cracking risk) or high-pressure hydrogen (H₂ >1 MPa — hydrogen embrittlement risk in leaded alloys). We will advise if your specification requires a different material.

OK Compatible Gases
Natural gas (CH₄), LPG (propane, butane), nitrogen, compressed air, CO₂, argon, helium
Not Recommended
Ammonia (NH₃) — stress-corrosion cracking in brass. H₂ >1 MPa — hydrogen embrittlement risk. Acetylene — copper >70% forms explosive copper acetylide (use brass or use stainless)
DVGW Approval (Germany)
Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik gas approval for fittings. CW617N is DVGW-approvable for gas. Component must be tested — not just alloy.
Made in Jamnagar, India

Real parts. Made to your drawing.

A sample of the precision brass components we turn and mill every day — finished complete and inspected in-house, then shipped to OEM and Tier-1 customers worldwide.

Component Types

Brassland is a precision brass-component manufacturer in Jamnagar, India, supplying turned and milled gas and energy fittings to OEMs in 40+ countries. We machine gas pipe fittings and adaptors, POL and cylinder connectors, meter connectors, solar-thermal and biogas couplings and hydrogen-distribution fitting bodies — in BSP, NPT and metric threads — from CW617N brass and lead-free CW724R for hydrogen-compatible service. Every part is turned and milled to your drawing on Swiss-type and CNC machines (no casting) and inspected in-house; pressure/leak testing of samples is available, with type approval to EN 161 / EN 13611, DVGW or GAR (EU) 2016/426 the responsibility of the assembler. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified. Choosing the grade? See our industrial alloy guide →

Gas & Energy Fittings — Frequently Asked Questions

Are your brass alloys suitable for gas service?
Yes — CW617N is DVGW-approvable for natural gas and LPG. Brass is not suitable for ammonia or high-pressure hydrogen; we advise the right material for your gas and pressure.
Do you manufacture finished gas valves or regulators?
No — we machine gas fittings and component bodies to your drawing. DVGW/CE/PED certification, gas approval (granted by test on the finished part) and type testing are the buyer's or assembler's responsibility.
What gas fittings can you make to drawing?
Gas pipe fittings and adaptors, POL and cylinder connectors, meter connectors and solar-thermal fittings — turned and milled with BSP, metric or POL threads.
What documentation do you provide?
EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill certificates as standard (3.2 third-party witnessed on request), a Certificate of Conformity and dimensional inspection reports, plus RoHS and REACH declarations with commercial orders.
What is your minimum order quantity and lead time?
There is no strict MOQ — first orders typically start from around 1,000 pieces, and we support high-volume production for OEMs. Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks from approved drawing, with prototypes and samples sooner.

Specifications this product line is built to

Brassland manufactures to the published EN, ISO and ASTM specifications below. Mill certificates per EN 10204 Type 3.1 are supplied as standard; Type 3.2 (third-party witnessed) available on request. Open any link to verify the standard directly with the publishing body.

What we make & what we don’t certify. Brassland machines gas & energy fittings and component bodies to your drawing in DVGW-approvable brass — we do not manufacture finished valves or regulators. We are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certified but do not hold product-specific gas approvals (DVGW, CE / PED, ANSI Z21). Gas approval is granted by test on the finished part — DVGW/CE/PED certification and type testing are the responsibility of the buyer or assembler placing the finished product on the market.
