Brass Fittings for Measuring & Test Instruments

The brass that goes inside the instrument — gauge and hose connectors, quick-couplers, valve cores, pressure ports and probe bodies for HVAC/R, flue-gas, pressure and flow measurement equipment. Turned and milled to your drawing.

Made in Jamnagar, India

Real parts. Made to your drawing.

A sample of the precision brass components we turn and mill every day — finished complete and inspected in-house, then shipped to OEM and Tier-1 customers worldwide.

Brassland is a precision brass-component manufacturer in Jamnagar, India, supplying custom turned and milled fittings to measuring- and test-instrument OEMs in 40+ countries. We machine the brass parts that go inside gauges, probes, flow meters and pressure instruments — gauge and hose connectors, quick-couplers, Schrader valve cores, pressure ports, probe bodies and compression fittings. Choosing the grade? See our industrial alloy guide →

Every part is made to your drawing on Swiss-type sliding-head and CNC machines from free-machining CW617N, dezincification-resistant CW602N (DZR) and lead-free CW724R brass — in BSP, NPT, metric and 1/4" SAE 45° flare threads. Parts are inspected in-house and shipped with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates under our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems. We also serve HVAC/R and gas & energy instrument makers.

Instrumentation Fittings — Frequently Asked Questions

Which brass instrument fittings can Brassland manufacture?
We machine gauge and hose connectors, self-sealing quick-couplers and service couplings, Schrader valve cores and depressors, pressure ports and Minimess-style test points, probe bodies and sensor housings, and compression and bulkhead fittings. Every part is turned and milled to your drawing in BSP, NPT, metric or 1/4" SAE 45° flare threads.
Which brass alloys do you recommend for instrument fittings?
CW617N free-machining brass for general fittings; CW602N (DZR) where the part is wetted by water or condensate; CW614N for high-speed machining; and CW724R lead-free silicon brass where low-lead compliance is required. The grade is fixed on your approved drawing and confirmed on the EN 10204 mill certificate supplied with each lot.
Can you supply lead-free brass for fittings that contact water?
Yes. For potable-water-wetted parts we machine lead-free grades such as CW724R that meet US NSF/ANSI 372 (a maximum 0.25% lead content on wetted surfaces) and the EU Drinking Water Directive (2020/2184). We confirm the applicable limit at quotation so the correct grade is specified before production.
Can you hold the tight tolerances measuring instruments need?
Yes. Our Swiss-type sliding-head turning typically holds about ±0.01 mm on critical bores, seats and sealing faces, with tighter limits achievable by process where the drawing requires it. The exact tolerance capability is confirmed against your drawing at quotation.
Do you make refrigeration and HVAC/R gauge fittings?
Yes — swivel gauge connectors, charging-hose fittings, self-sealing service couplers and Schrader valve cores in refrigerant-compatible brass for R-410A, R-32 and R-134a systems. Brass is not suitable for ammonia (R-717) systems, and we will advise on alternatives if your application requires it.
How are instrument fittings sealed for pressure or gas service?
We machine to your specified sealing method — O-ring, metal-to-metal, 45° flare or compression-ferrule — and can pressure- and leak-test sample lots on request to confirm the seal performs at your working pressure.
What surface finishes and platings can you apply?
Parts ship as-machined in natural brass by default. Nickel, tin and electroless-nickel plating, passivation, and polished or tumbled finishes are available to your specification through qualified finishing partners; specify the finish and any thickness or salt-spray requirement at quotation.
Can you work from a sample if we don't have a CAD drawing?
Yes. Send a physical sample or a marked-up sketch and we will produce a manufacturing drawing for your written approval before cutting metal. The approved drawing then governs production and inspection.
What documentation do you provide with each shipment?
EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill certificates as standard (Type 3.2 third-party witnessed on request), a Certificate of Conformity and dimensional inspection reports, plus RoHS and REACH/SVHC declarations with commercial orders. Brassland is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
What are your minimum order quantity and lead times?
There is no strict minimum order quantity; first orders typically start from around 1,000 pieces, and we support high-volume OEM production. Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks from the approved drawing, with prototypes and samples available sooner. Quotations are issued within 24 hours.
