Brassland is a precision brass, copper and aluminium component manufacturer in Jamnagar, India, supplying turned and milled parts to EV charging and electromobility OEMs in 40+ countries. We machine the internal metal parts that go inside charging hardware and vehicles — contact pins and sockets, copper busbars and battery/power terminals, cable-gland fittings, earthing terminals and threaded inserts — from C11000 (Cu-ETP) copper where conductivity drives the design and CW617N / CW614N brass for structural parts, with tin, silver or nickel plating for contact surfaces. Every part is made to your drawing on Swiss-type and CNC machines and inspected in-house; type approval to IEC 62196 / UL / CE remains the assembler's responsibility. Choosing the grade? EV Charging — Frequently Asked Questions

What EV charging and electromobility parts can Brassland machine?
Contact pins and sockets, connector parts, copper busbars and battery/power terminals, cable-gland fittings, earthing terminals and lugs, and threaded inserts for enclosures — turned and milled to your drawing for charging hardware and in-vehicle power systems.
What materials do you use for EV contacts, busbars and terminals?
C11000 (Cu-ETP) copper for high-conductivity contact pins, busbars and battery terminals; CW617N / CW614N brass for connector and structural parts; and aluminium where weight matters. Tin, silver or nickel plating is available for contact surfaces.
Are your parts certified to IEC 62196 / UL / CE?
No — we machine components to your drawing. Component approval and type testing to IEC 62196, IEC 61851, UL or CE are the responsibility of the connector manufacturer or assembler placing the finished product on the market.
Can you make high-current busbars and battery terminals?
Yes — copper busbars, joints, cell connectors and battery/power terminals are machined in C11000 where conductivity drives the design, sized to your current rating, for DC fast-charging and in-vehicle power systems. Final ampacity validation of the assembly is the assembler's responsibility.
What plating and surface finishes do you offer for contacts?
Tin, silver, nickel and electroless-nickel plating, plus passivation and polishing, to your specification through qualified finishing partners. Specify plating thickness and any contact-resistance or salt-spray requirement at quotation.
How tight are the tolerances on contact pins and sockets?
Swiss-type sliding-head turning typically holds about ±0.01 mm on critical mating diameters and seats, with tighter limits achievable by process where your drawing requires it. Tolerance capability is confirmed against your drawing at quotation.
Do you machine aluminium parts for EVs?
Yes — we turn and mill aluminium as well as copper and brass, for lightweight brackets, housings and non-conductive structural parts. The grade and finish are fixed on your approved drawing.
Can you work from a sample if we don't have a CAD drawing?
Yes. Send a physical sample or a marked-up sketch and we will produce a manufacturing drawing for your written approval before cutting metal; the approved drawing then governs production and inspection.
What documentation do you provide with each shipment?
EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill certificates as standard (Type 3.2 third-party witnessed on request), a Certificate of Conformity and dimensional inspection reports, plus RoHS and REACH/SVHC declarations with commercial orders. Brassland is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
What are your minimum order quantity and lead times?
There is no strict minimum order quantity; first orders typically start from around 1,000 pieces, and we support high-volume OEM production. Typical lead time is 3–5 weeks from the approved drawing, with prototypes and samples available sooner. Quotations are issued within 24 hours.
