Overview

DIN 2353 (ISO 8434-1) is the 24°-cone cutting-ring (bite-type) tube-fitting system: a fitting body, a union nut and a cutting ring. Brassland turns the brass body and union nut (the cutting ring is a bought-in hardened-steel part). DIN 3852 defines the threaded stud-ends and ports — Forms A, B, C and E — in metric and pipe-G threads, which are the screw-in ends of fittings and of DIN 908 / DIN 7604 port plugs. Brass is standard for the bodies, nuts, stud-ends, ports and plugs for pneumatic and low-pressure work.

Frequently asked questions

What is a DIN 2353 fitting?

A 24°-cone cutting-ring (bite-type) compression fitting — body, union nut and cutting ring — that joins rigid tube without welding or flaring.

Which parts are brass?

The body, union nut, stud-ends, ports and plugs are brass; the cutting ring is hardened steel.

What is DIN 3852?

The standard for threaded stud-ends and ports (Forms A/B/C/E) that fittings and screw plugs seal into.
