For potable-water and drinking-water applications we machine lead-free and low-lead grades such as CW724R, CW510L and CW511L, whose lead content is within the US NSF/ANSI 372 limit (0.25% weighted average on wetted surfaces). In the EU, the Drinking Water Directive (EU) 2020/2184 accepts materials through the European positive lists, which apply from 31 December 2026: CW724R and CW510L are on the list of metallic compositions, and the approval belongs to the finished product.
