Overview

Compliance documentation matched to your market — prepared, signed and supplied with the parts.

Brassland maintains active compliance documentation across the major global frameworks: RoHS in the EU, REACH and its SVHC obligations, CMRT conflict-minerals reporting for US filers, and California Proposition 65. Declarations are matched to the alloys you order, signed, and supplied with shipments — with copies typically available the same business day on request.

For potable-water and drinking-water applications we machine lead-free and low-lead grades such as CW724R, CW510L and CW511L, which support the EU Drinking Water Directive (2020/2184) and US NSF/ANSI 372 (0.25% wetted-surface lead) requirements. Tell us the destination market and standard with your enquiry and we will confirm the right alloy and paperwork.

FAQ

Compliance questions

Is leaded brass RoHS compliant?
Yes. Leaded brass is covered by RoHS exemption 6(c), which permits copper alloy containing up to 4% lead by weight; all other restricted substances comply by composition. See Directive 2011/65/EU (Annex III). RoHS declarations are available on request.
Do you offer lead-free brass for drinking water?
Yes. We machine lead-free and low-lead grades such as CW724R, CW510L and CW511L to support the EU Drinking Water Directive (2020/2184) and US NSF 372 (0.25% wetted lead) requirements — see the brass alloy guide. Confirm the target standard with your enquiry.
Are your brass parts conflict-mineral free?
Brass is copper and zinc, which are not among the 3TG conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold). We provide written scope-determination letters for Dodd-Frank and SEC reporting companies, aligned with the RMI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template.
How fast can you send compliance declarations?
Certificate copies and declarations are typically available the same business day on request, and signed declarations are also supplied with shipments.
Do you monitor the REACH SVHC Candidate List?
Yes. We track the ECHA SVHC Candidate List at every update and reissue Article 33 declarations when supplied products are affected, within 45 days of a request.
