Brass Screw Plugs to DIN · Jamnagar, India
Hexagon socket screw plug, taper (self-sealing) thread — machined in brass CW614N to standard and to your drawing.
Home / Products / Standard Parts / Screw Plugs / DIN 906
A DIN 906 screw plug is a hexagon-socket sealing plug with a taper (conical) thread that seals on the thread itself — no sealing ring required — used to close oil, fuel, hydraulic and pneumatic ports. Brassland machines it from free-cutting brass CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) — or lead-free CW724R — to the standard and to your drawing, as part of our brass screw-plug programme.

Dimensions in mm to DIN 906. R threads to DIN 3858 (ISO 7/1 taper pipe); metric taper threads to DIN 158. The plug is threaded over its full length (l = total length b). The conical thread seals without a sealing ring; DIN 906 has no ISO equivalent.
Applications
Typical applications for the DIN 906 brass screw plug include closing oil, gearbox, hydraulic and pneumatic ports, sealing unused threaded openings on manifolds and valve blocks, and oil-drain and fill points on engines and gearboxes. All parts are made to order, so thread, sealing and certification are tailored to your specification.

Frequently asked questions
A taper (conical) thread — either pipe thread R to DIN 3858 (ISO 7/1) or metric taper to DIN 158. The taper seals on the thread, so no sealing ring is needed.
No. Unlike DIN 908/910, the conical thread of a DIN 906 plug seals itself; a thread sealant (e.g. PTFE) may be added for fluids.
A 10 mm hexagon key (socket s = 10 mm at R 1/2; for M16 metric taper s = 8 mm). See the datasheet for every size.
Free-cutting brass CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) as standard; CW617N or lead-free CW724R on request. Dimensions are identical across materials.
