DIN 7604 Brass Screw Plug (Light Type)

Hexagon-head screw plug, light type, cylindrical thread — turned in brass to standard and to your drawing.

Home / Products / Standard Parts / Screw Plugs / DIN 7604

A DIN 7604 screw plug is a light-type hexagon-head sealing plug with a cylindrical (parallel) thread, sealed with a DIN 7603 ring under the head; it is a lower-profile, lighter closure than the heavier DIN 910, in a short-spigot (Form A) or long-spigot (Form C) version. Brassland machines it from free-cutting brass CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) to the standard and to your drawing, as part of our screw plugs programme.

Dimensions in mm to DIN 7604. d2 = collar diameter, s = head width across flats, k = head height, l = length. Sealed with a DIN 7603 ring under the head (the cylindrical thread does not self-seal). Head widths to DIN 475-1 (DIN ISO 272 alternates exist). Form A = short screw-in spigot, Form C = long.

Applications

Typical applications include sealing and blanking threaded ports on hydraulic and pneumatic blocks and pumps, oil and coolant fill/drain points, and HVAC and irrigation manifolds where a light, low-profile plug is wanted. All parts are made to order, so size, thread, finish and certification are tailored to your specification.

Frequently asked questions

How does a DIN 7604 plug seal?

Its cylindrical thread does not self-seal; a DIN 7603 sealing ring is fitted under the head against the port face.

What is the difference between Form A and Form C?

Form A has a short screw-in spigot; Form C has a long spigot for deeper thread engagement. Both share the head dimensions.

How is DIN 7604 different from DIN 910?

DIN 7604 is the light type — lower head and lighter build — while DIN 910 is the heavy-duty hex-head plug. Both use a cylindrical thread and a DIN 7603 ring.

What thread does DIN 7604 use?

Metric fine pitch (e.g. M22×1.5). There is no G pipe series in DIN 7604.
