DIN 3852 Brass Threaded Ports & Stud-Ends

Threaded stud-ends & ports (Forms A / B / C / E) — turned in brass to standard and to your drawing.

Home / Products / Standard Parts / Tube Fittings / DIN 3852

DIN 3852 specifies the threaded stud-ends and the mating ports used by fittings and screw plugs — Forms A (soft seal ring), B (metal edge), C (taper thread) and E (captive O-ring) — in metric (Part 1) and pipe-G (Part 2) threads; Brassland turns the brass stud-ends, ports and port plugs. Brassland machines it from free-cutting brass brass (CW614N / CW617N) to the standard and to your drawing, as part of our tube fittings programme.

DIN 3852 stud-end forms. Part 1 = metric fine thread (M, harmonised with ISO 9974); Part 2 = Whitworth pipe G (BSPP) and R (BSPT, ISO 1179); Part 11 = Form E captive O-ring. Forms A and E give a soft, reusable seal; Form B is metal-to-metal; Form C seals in the taper thread. Screw plugs DIN 908 and DIN 7604 seal into DIN 3852 parallel-thread ports.

Applications

Typical applications include screw-in port connections on manifolds, valve blocks and cylinders, the screw-in ends of brass fittings, and DIN 908 / DIN 7604 port plugs. All parts are made to order, so size, thread, finish and certification are tailored to your specification.

Frequently asked questions

What do the DIN 3852 forms mean?

They are the sealing method of the stud-end: Form A seals with a soft washer on the port face, Form B is metal-to-metal, Form C seals in a taper thread, and Form E uses a captive O-ring / ED ring.

What thread does DIN 3852 use?

Part 1 is metric fine (M); Part 2 is Whitworth pipe G (BSPP) and R (BSPT). Part 11 covers the Form E O-ring stud-end.

Which plugs use DIN 3852 ports?

Screw plugs such as DIN 908 (socket, with ring) and DIN 7604 (hex head, light) seal into DIN 3852 parallel-thread ports.

Can DIN 3852 parts be made in brass?

Yes — the brass stud-ends, ports and plugs are standard turned brass parts for pneumatic and low-pressure work.
