The DIN 16903 Form T is a brass mould-in threaded insert with a closed heavy-duty body, short form, knurled on its outside so that when it is placed in the injection mould and plastic is moulded around it, it locks into the plastic part and gives a durable metric thread; the closed heavy-duty body suits high-load joints and is also rated for pressure die castings; the round body suits lighter loads and tighter spacing. Brassland machines it from free-cutting brass CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) — or lead-free CW724R — to DIN 16903, as part of our moulding-insert programme.

Dimensions in mm to DIN 16903; tolerances d3 h12, d6 h11, coaxiality per DIN ISO 1101. Further dimensions (d2, d4, l, r, t, e) and intermediate sizes to drawing. d5 = stock diameter before knurling.
Form T is specified wherever an injection-moulded plastic part needs a strong, reusable metal thread with the heavy-duty geometry shown above — typical sectors and resin guidance are on the DIN 16903 hub.

It is a mould-in insert: it is loaded into the injection tool and the plastic is moulded around it, embedding the thread as the part is formed (not pressed or heat-set in afterwards).
All 14 forms share the same mould-in principle and differ in body shape, shoulder and bore. Form T is a closed heavy-duty body, short form. See the full A–U comparison on the moulding-inserts hub.
